The beginning of what Suzaku had been about to say made Enki bristle, because he recognized that Over There saying. But then Suzaku just trailed off, looked kind of confused and then said something else entirely that made Enki confused.
Scratching his head, Enki tried to think back, but he was sure that even with their first conversation, he'd never said that... "When did I say that? He could order me to, yeah, but he never has." That, of course, didn't mean it would never happen, but when and if it did so, Enki knew Shōryū would have gone in on a bad path.
There were, after all, others who killed criminals (however much he'd wish this wasn't necessary), and a battlefield was no place for a kirin. Enkli stared at Suzaku, thoroughly confused as to how his little rant when they first talked had been interpreted that way.
